Clause 27
Transitional and savings provisions
(1)
Any licence granted by the Commissioner of Civil Defence under Part V of the principal Act and that is in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 14 of this Act shall, unless revoked, suspended or cancelled, and in so far as it is not inconsistent with the corresponding provisions of the principal Act as amended by this Act —
continue and be deemed to be a licence under those corresponding provisions;
be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the licence; and
expire on the date it would have expired as if this Act had not been enacted.
(2)
Where an appeal has been made to the Minister under Part V of the principal Act and the appeal has not been dealt with or disposed of immediately before the date of commencement of section 14 of this Act, that appeal may be dealt with as if this Act had not been enacted.
(3)
The Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, prescribe such other transitional and savings provisions as he may consider necessary or expedient.
