Amendment of section 3

Section 3 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) The metre shall be the unit of measurement of length and the kilogram shall be the unit of measurement of mass by reference to which any measurement involving a measurement of length or mass shall be made in Singapore.”; and

(b)

by deleting subsection (3).
