General exemption
(1)
The Minister may, by regulations, exempt any person or class of persons from all or any of the provisions of this Act, subject to such terms or conditions as may be prescribed.
(2)
The Minister may, on application of any person, by notice in writing exempt the person from all or any of the provisions of this Act if the Minister considers it appropriate to do so in the circumstances of the case.
(3)
An exemption under subsection (2) —
may be granted subject to such terms or conditions as the Minister may specify by notice in writing; (b)need not be published in the Gazette; and
may be withdrawn at any time by the Minister if he considers it necessary in the public interest.
(4)
Any person who contravenes any term or condition prescribed under subsection (1) or specified by the Minister under subsection (3)(a) shall be guilty of an offence.
