Clause 3

Amendment of section 7

Section 7 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)the Chief Executive, if he has been appointed to be a member under subsection (6);”;

(b)

by deleting the words “5 members” in subsection (1)(d) and substituting the words “7 members”; and

(c)

by deleting subsection (6) and substituting the following subsection:“(6) The President of Singapore may appoint the Chief Executive to be a member of the Majlis.”.
