Clause 9

Section 20 of the principal Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) Where the Board is satisfied that there are grounds under section 19(1)(a), (b), (d), (e) or (f) to exercise its powers against a registered nurse, an enrolled nurse, a registered midwife or an Advanced Practice Nurse, the Board may, in addition to any power which the Board may exercise under section 19, order the registered nurse, enrolled nurse, registered midwife or Advanced Practice Nurse, as the case may be, to pay to the Board such sums as the Board thinks fit in respect of the costs and expenses of the inquiry by the Board.”.
