Amendment of section 2

Section 2 of the Electricity Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “section 64” in the definition of “Appeal Panel” and substituting the words “section 64(3) or 98(2)”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “trade”, the following definition:“ “transmission agent licensee” means a person authorised by an electricity licence to transmit electricity for or on behalf of a transmission licensee;”;

(c)

by deleting the definition of “transmission system” and substituting the following definition:“ “transmission system” means a system of interconnected electric lines, electrical plants and substations used by a transmission licensee to transmit electricity;”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “system which consists wholly or mainly of electric lines and electrical plants and is used for conveying electricity” in the definition of “transmit” and substituting the words “transmission system”.
