Clause 42

Selling Singapore passports, etc.

(1)

A person who sells a Singapore passport or a Singapore travel document shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to both.

(2)

A person who engages in the business or trade of selling Singapore passports or Singapore travel documents shall be guilty of an offence and shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years but not more than 15 years and shall also be punished with a fine not exceeding $20,000.

(3)

In this section, “sell” includes barter and exchange, offering or attempting to sell, exposing for sale, or receiving or sending or delivering for sale.
