Repeal of sections 6 and 7 and re-enactment of section 6

Sections 6 and 7 of the principal Act are repealed and the following section substituted therefor:“Administration of Act6.—

(1)

The Director-General shall be responsible for the administration of this Act, subject to the general or special directions of the Minister.(2) The Director-General may, with the approval of the Minister, in writing appoint any person as an authorised officer for the purposes of this Act.(3) The Director-General may delegate the exercise of all or any of the powers conferred or duties imposed upon him by this Act to any authorised officer, except the power of delegation under this subsection.”.
