Clause 31

by deleting the words “Disciplinary Committee” wherever they appear in subsections (1)(c) and (2)(b) and substituting in each case the words “Disciplinary Tribunal”;

by deleting the words “be adjourned for consideration or” in subsection (1)(d);

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) Where the Council has determined under subsection (1)(d) that a matter be referred back to the Inquiry Committee for reconsideration or a further report —

the Council shall notify the Inquiry Committee accordingly;

the Inquiry Committee shall submit its response or further report to the Council within 4 weeks from the date of the Council’s notification; and

subsection (1)(a), (b) and (c) shall apply, with the necessary modifications, in relation to the response or further report of the Inquiry Committee as it applies in relation to the report of the Inquiry Committee.”;

by inserting, immediately after the word “report” in subsection (2), the words “, read with any response or further report submitted under subsection (1A)(b),”;

by inserting, immediately after the words “report of the Inquiry Committee” in subsection (3), the words “, read with any response or further report of the Inquiry Committee submitted under subsection (1A)(b),”; and

by inserting, immediately after the words “determined the complaint” in subsection (4), the words “within 14 days of the determination”.
