Clause 12

Amendment of section 15

Section 15 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting subsection (2);

(b)

by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (4);

(c)

by deleting subsections (5) and (6) and substituting the following subsections:“(5) Every application for the registration of the amended by-laws shall —

(a)

be signed by the chairman and 2 members of the committee of management of the society;

(b)

contain such information as the Registrar may require;

(c)

be accompanied by a copy of the amendment and the relevant resolution, and such other documents as the Registrar may require; and

(d)

be accompanied by such fee as may be prescribed.(6) The Registrar may register a by-law or an amendment to a by-law if he is satisfied that it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and the Rules.”; and

(d)

by deleting the word “certificate” in subsection (9) and substituting the word “notice”.
