Amendment of section 214
Section 214 of the principal Act is amended —
by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (a)(iii)(C) of the definition of “securities”;
by inserting the word “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (iv) of paragraph (a) of the definition of “securities” and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph and words:“(v)such other product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe,but does not include such product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe as not being securities;”;
by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (b)(iii) of the definition of “securities”;
by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (b)(iv) of the definition of “securities” and substituting the word “or”;
by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (iv) of paragraph (b) of the definition of “securities”, the following sub-paragraph and words:“(v)such other product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe, but does not include such product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe as not being securities; and”;
by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (c)(vi)(C) of the definition of “securities”;
by deleting the comma at the end of paragraph (c)(vii) of the definition of “securities” and substituting the word “; or”;
by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (vii) of paragraph (c) of the definition of “securities”, the following sub-paragraph:“(viii)such other product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe,”;
by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (c)(BB) of the definition of “securities”; and
by inserting the word “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (CC) of paragraph (c) of the definition of “securities” and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:“(DD)such other product or class of products as the Authority may prescribe as not being securities;”.
