Clause 11

Amendment of section 52

Section 52 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “emas kahwin” in subsections (1) and (3)(a), the words “and marriage expenses (hantaran belanja)”;

(b)

by deleting the words “any divorce has been registered whether before or after 1st August 1999 under section 102” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “any divorce has been registered under section 102 before the date of commencement of section 24 of the Administration of Muslim Law (Amendment) Act 2008”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the word “circumstances” in subsection (6), the words “, or for other good cause being shown to the satisfaction of the Court”.
