Amendment of section 53

Section 53 of the Employment Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$1,000” and “$2,000” in subsection (1) and substituting “$5,000” and “$10,000”, respectively;

(b)

by deleting subsection (2); and

(c)

by deleting “44” in subsection (3)(a) and (b) and substituting in each case “89”.
