Clause 33

Offences

(1)

Any person who —

(a)

fails to furnish any information required under section 18;

(b)

without lawful excuse, fails to comply with any summons or requisition of the Registrar under section 32;

(c)

makes any statement or furnishes any information to the Registrar under the provisions of this Act which is false in any material particular or by reason of the omission of any material particular and which he either knows or has reason to believe is false; or

(d)

contravenes any of the regulations made under this Act,shall be guilty of an offence.

(2)

Any person who knowingly holds out that a business is registered as a limited partnership under this Act shall, where he knows or ought to have known that at the material time the business was not registered as a limited partnership under this Act, be guilty of an offence.

(3)

A person shall be liable on conviction of an offence under subsection (1) or (2) to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
