Amendment of section 15

Section 15 of the principal Act is amended by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsections:“(3) Where the person who is to be isolated under subsection (1) or (2) is a minor, the Director may order the parent or guardian of the minor —

(a)

to take the minor, within the time specified in the order, to the place in which he is to be isolated; or

(b)

to ensure that the minor remains in isolation in his own dwelling place,for such period of time and subject to such conditions as may be specified by the Director.(4) Any person against whom an order under subsection (1) or (2) is made shall be guilty of an offence if he —

(a)

fails, without reasonable excuse, to proceed to the place in which he is to be isolated within the time specified in the order;

(b)

without the permission of the Director, leaves or attempts to leave the place in which he is being isolated; or

(c)

fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with any condition to which he is subject.(5) Any person, being the parent or guardian of a minor, who fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with an order of the Director under subsection (3) shall be guilty of an offence.”.
