Execution and costs of works required by preservation notice
If the requirements of a preservation notice are not complied with to the satisfaction of the Board —
the Director or a Monument Inspector may, at any reasonable time, enter the national monument to which the preservation notice relates and cause any of the works specified in the preservation notice and such other works which are in the Board’s opinion necessary for the preservation of the national monument to be carried out; and
the expenses reasonably incurred by the Director or Monument Inspector in the exercise of his powers under paragraph (a) and such other reasonable expenses as may be incidental thereto shall be recoverable by the Board as a civil debt from the person who is, on the date of the preservation notice, the owner or occupier of the national monument.
