Clause 18

Enforcement notice

If the Board is satisfied —

(a)

that section 15(1) has been or is being contravened in respect of any national monument; or

(b)

that any activity or operation being carried out by any person in relation to a national monument has caused or is likely to cause danger or damage to the national monument,the Board may, by notice in writing (referred to hereinafter as an enforcement notice), require —

(i)

the owner or occupier of the national monument;

(ii)

the person who committed or is committing the contravention; or

(iii)

the person who carried out or is carrying out the activity or operation,to do any or all of the following within the time specified in the notice:

(A)

to stop carrying out in relation to the national monument such activity or operation as may be specified in the enforcement notice;

(B)

to stop using the national monument for such purposes as may be specified in the enforcement notice;

(C)

to take, at his own expense, such protective, remedial or other measures in relation to the national monument as may be specified in the enforcement notice.
