Savings and transitional provisions
(1)
A person who, immediately before the appointed day, was a Coroner appointed under section 10 of the Subordinate Courts Act (Cap. 321) shall be deemed to be a Coroner appointed under section 3(1) of this Act.
(2)
The provisions of this Act shall apply in relation to any investigation or inquiry into the death of any person conducted on or after the appointed day, whether the death of the person occurred before, on or after the appointed day.
(3)
For a period of 2 years after the appointed day, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a savings or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of this Act as he may consider necessary or expedient.
(4)
In this section, “appointed day” means the date of commencement of this Act.
