Amendment of section 17
Section 17(1) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)the provision of services for the carriage of passengers on a rapid transit system;”;
(b)
by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (c); and
(c)
by deleting paragraph (d) and substituting the following paragraphs:“(d)the security and safety of persons who use or who are engaged in any work on the rapid transit system; and
(e)
the measures necessary for licensees to deal with any plague or epidemic, fire, flood, earthquake or disaster (natural or otherwise) or other public emergency.”.
