Clause 8

Amendment of section 18

Section 18(1) of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c), the following paragraph:“(ca)the provision of travel information systems and directional signs for the purpose of ensuring integration of rapid transit systems with transport services and facilities and developments surrounding the respective rapid transit systems operated by licensees so as to enhance railway passenger services;”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “the safety” in paragraph (d) and substituting the words “the security and safety”.
