Clause 21

by deleting paragraph (f) of section 6(1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(f)to provide registration and licensing procedures and systems for road transport in accordance with the Road Traffic Act (Cap. 276), and to perform such other functions as may be conferred on the Authority by that Act, including —

the regulation of the parking of vehicles on roads and the taking of enforcement action in relation thereto;

the regulation, prohibition or restriction of the use of roads on account of any construction or maintenance works being carried thereon, or any other considerations of safety; and

the determination and prescription of vehicular speed limits on roads;”;

by deleting the marginal reference “Cap. 276.” in section 6(1)(f);

by deleting the words “for which the Minister for Communications has been charged with responsibility” in item 13 in the Second Schedule and substituting the words “which falls under the purview of the Minister charged with the responsibility for transport”; and

by inserting, immediately after item 20 in the Second Schedule, the following item:“21. All fees, costs and charges prescribed under section 140(2)(p) of the Road Traffic Act that are payable to the Authority.”.
