Amendment of section 71

Section 71 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$100” in subsection (5) and substituting “$500”; and

(b)

by deleting subsections (6), (7) and (8) and substituting the following subsection:“(6) The illegal practice and the offence under subsections (1A) and (4), respectively, shall each be a seizable offence within the meaning of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68).”.
