Amendment of section 82

Section 82 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “$1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “$2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both”; and

(b)

by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsection:“(3) The offence under subsection (2) shall be a seizable offence within the meaning of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68).”.
