Clause 73

Adoption of codes, standards and specifications

(1)

Any regulations made under section 72 may adopt wholly or partially or as amended by the regulations or by reference any code, standard or specification which relates to the design, manufacture, installation, operation, modification, relocation, maintenance or repair of amusement rides or to any other matter that is relevant to the purposes of this Act, and which —

(a)

is recommended, issued or adopted by any standards organisation or body (whether within or outside Singapore) approved by the Commissioner; or

(b)

is considered by the Commissioner to be appropriate for adoption for the purposes of this Act.

(2)

In any proceedings under this Act, a copy of any code, standard or specification adopted under subsection (1) which is certified by the Commissioner as a true copy thereof shall be prima facie evidence of that code, standard or specification.
