Amendment of section 25A
Section 25A of the Immigration Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the words “in Singapore” in subsection (1), the words “, whether or not he enters Singapore,”;
(b)
by deleting the words “same train” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “same or such other train, to his place of embarkation, the country of his birth or citizenship or such other destination, as that immigration officer may direct”;
(c)
by inserting, immediately after the words “from Singapore” in subsection (4)(d), the words “in accordance with subsection (3)”; and
(d)
by inserting, immediately after the words “the immigration officer” in subsection (5), the words “or any police officer”.
