Amendment of section 17
Section 17 of the Immigration Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsection:“(3) The master of every vessel which arrives in or is about to leave Singapore shall, if ordered to do so by a police officer or an immigration officer, stop, anchor or tie up his vessel at such place as may be ordered, and shall remain there until a police officer or an immigration officer gives him permission to leave.”; and
(b)
by deleting the section heading and substituting the following section heading:“Vessel to stop, proceed to immigration or departure anchorage or other place when ordered”.
