Consequential amendments to Criminal Procedure Code 2010
The Criminal Procedure Code 2010 (Act 15 of 2010) is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “section 32(a)” in section 259(1)(e) and substituting the words “section 32(1)(a)”;
(b)
by repealing section 268 and substituting the following section:“Hearsay evidence in criminal proceedings
268. In any criminal proceedings, a statement is admissible as evidence of any fact stated therein to the extent that it is so admissible by this Code, the Evidence Act (Cap. 97), or any other written law.”; and
(c)
by repealing sections 269 to 277.
