New section 42A
The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 42, the following section:“Inaccuracies in notices, etc.42A.—
No misnomer or inaccurate description of any person, premises, building or building works or any other thing named or described in any notice or order issued or served under or for the purposes of this Act or any subsidiary legislation made thereunder shall render invalid the notice or order or affect the operation of this Act or its subsidiary legislation if the person, premises, building or building works or other thing named or described in the notice or order is so designated or described as to be identifiable.(2) No proceedings taken under or by virtue of this Act or any subsidiary legislation made thereunder shall be rendered invalid merely by reason of want of form, which otherwise would be valid.”.
