Clause 25

Saving and transitional provisions

(1)

Section 2(b) of this Act (in relation to the definition of “geotechnical building works”) shall not apply in relation to —

(a)

any application for approval of plans of building works and any application for a permit to carry out structural works submitted before the date of commencement of that provision;

(b)

any approval of plans of building works or any permit to carry out structural works granted before that date; and

(c)

any building works or structural works commenced or carried out before that date, and the definition of “underground building works” in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 2(l) of this Act shall apply in relation to any such application, approval, permit, building works or structural works.

(2)

The Minister may, in relation to any provision of this Act, by regulations prescribe, within a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of that provision, such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as he may consider necessary or expedient.
