Amendment of section 12

Section 12 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “or any part thereof” in subsection (1);

(b)

by deleting the words “or that part of the building” in subsection (1);

(c)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) An application for a certificate of statutory completion in respect of any building shall be made to the Commissioner of Building Control in the prescribed manner and accompanied by such certificates or written approvals required to be obtained in respect of the building as may be prescribed.”;

(d)

by deleting the words “or part thereof” wherever they appear in subsection (2)(a); and

(e)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(2A) An application for a temporary occupation permit in respect of any building shall be made to the Commissioner of Building Control in the prescribed manner and accompanied by such certificates or written approvals required to be obtained in respect of the building as may be prescribed.”.
