Clause 12

Section 32 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) Where any search is conducted by an officer of the Bureau under section 24 or 26 in relation to a drug specified in the Fifth Schedule or any substance containing such drug, the officer may examine orally any person found within the place searched and section 22 of the Criminal Procedure Code shall apply, with the necessary modifications, to any statement made by any person so examined.”.
