New section 97A
The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 97, the following section:“Special employees to provide information, etc., to Authority97A.—
The Authority may, by notice in writing, require a licensee to do all or any of the following:
provide, in accordance with directions in the notice, such information relevant to the holding of the special employee licence as is specified in the notice;
produce, in accordance with directions in the notice, such records relevant to the holding of the special employee licence as are specified in the notice and to permit examination of the records and the making of copies of the records;
furnish to the Authority such authorisations and consents as the Authority directs for the purpose of enabling the Authority to obtain information (including financial and other confidential information) concerning the licensee from other persons.(2) Any licensee who fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1) shall be liable to disciplinary action under section 93.”.
