Clause 9

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (h) of subsection (2), and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:“(ha)the applicant is a suitable person to develop, maintain and promote the integrated resort (of which the casino is a part) as a compelling tourist destination which meets prevailing market demand and industry standards and contributes to the tourism industry in Singapore; and”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(3) The Authority shall, in determining the matter set out in subsection (2)(ha), have regard to the opinion of the evaluation panel under section 45A.”.
