Amendment of section 172
Section 172 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “in a casino or on premises within any designated site” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “whether in a casino or elsewhere”; and
(b)
by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(4) Nothing in subsection (3) shall authorise any police officer or inspector to remove, or require a person to remove, any of the person’s clothing, and a search of a person’s clothing being worn by the person may only be done by a police officer or an inspector of the same sex as the person.”.
