Regulations
(1)
The Commission may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations to give effect to the provisions and purposes of this Act.
(2)
Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), regulations may be made under that subsection for or with respect to any or all of the following matters:
conditions or restrictions applicable to designated entities; (b)the fees and charges payable under this Act, and the waiver, refund or remission, whether wholly or in part, of such fees and charges; (c)matters required or permitted to be prescribed by this Act or which are necessary or expedient to be prescribed to give effect to this Act.
(3)
Regulations made under subsection (1) may —
provide that a contravention of any specified provision thereof shall be an offence; and
provide for penalties not exceeding a fine of $5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both for any offence specified therein and, in the case of a continuing offence, a further penalty not exceeding a fine of $250 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.
