Director-General and appointment of authorised officers
(1)
The Director-General shall, subject to any general or special directions of the Minister, be responsible for the administration of this Act (except Part IV), and may perform such duties as are imposed and exercise such powers as are conferred upon him by this Act.
(2)
The Director-General may appoint, by name or office, any public officer, any officer or employee of the Agency or any auxiliary police officer appointed as such under the Police Force Act (Cap. 235) to be an authorised officer to assist him in the administration of this Act.
(3)
The Director-General may, with the approval of the Minister, delegate the exercise of all or any of the powers conferred or duties imposed on him by this Act (except the power of delegation conferred by this subsection) to any authorised officer, subject to such conditions or limitations as the Director-General may specify.
