Clause 21

Section 22B of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(2A) The Commissioner may, subject to such conditions as he may impose, exempt any person from the requirements in subsection (2) if the Commissioner is satisfied that the person possesses such other qualifications or practical experience as the Commissioner considers adequate to enable that person to effectively carry out his duties and responsibilities as a fire safety engineer under this Act.”.
