Clause 17

Related amendments to Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act

Section 56 of the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act (Cap. 65A) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “Except” in subsection (1), the words “as provided in subsection (1A), or”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) A Suspicious Transaction Reporting Officer who is an officer or employee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore may disclose to the Monetary Authority of Singapore any information or matter which he has obtained in the performance of his duties or the exercise of his functions under this Act.”.
