Amendment of section 4
Section 4 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the words “reputable financial centre” in subsection (1)(b), the words “and to promote financial stability”;
(b)
by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (2) and substituting the following paragraph:“(a)to act as the central bank of Singapore, conduct monetary policy, issue currency, oversee payment systems and serve as banker to and financial agent of the Government;”; and
(c)
by deleting the words “financial services” in subsection (2)(b) and substituting the words “the financial services sector”.
