Clause 21

Regulations

(1)

The Minister may make regulations, prescribing matters necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out this Act, including prescribing such saving and transitional provisions and such incidental, consequential or supplementary provisions as may be necessary or expedient.

(2)

The Minister may, in making any regulations under subsection (1), provide that any contravention or failure to comply with any of the provisions of the regulations shall be an offence punishable with a fine not exceeding $5,000 or with imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or with both.

(3)

All regulations made under this Act shall be presented to Parliament as soon as possible after publication in the Gazette.
