Clause 40

Registration only in respect of prescribed categories of goods

(1)

An application for registration of a geographical indication may only be sought in respect of goods falling within one or more of the categories of goods set out in the Schedule.

(2)

The Registrar shall determine whether or not any specific goods fall within a category of goods set out in the Schedule.

(3)

The Minister may, by notification published in the Gazette, amend the Schedule.
