Amendment of section 64
The principal Act is amended by renumbering section 64 as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the regulations —
(a)
may provide that a contravention of any specified provision of the regulations shall be an offence; and
(b)
may provide for penalties not exceeding a fine of $20,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both for each offence.”.
