Clause 19

by deleting the word “Minister” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “Deputy Commissioner of Police”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsections:“(3) Once a type of seat belt is approved by the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the purposes of subsection (1) and section 75(1), he must, as soon as practicable, cause to be published in the Gazette a notification specifying each type of seat belt so approved by him.(4) However, failure to comply with subsection (3) in respect of any type of seat belt does not invalidate the approval for that type of seat belt.”.
