Amendment of section 196
Section 196 of the Companies Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “company” in subsections (1), (2) and (4) and substituting in each case the words “public company”; (b)by deleting the words “one month” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “14 days”;
(c)
by deleting the word “company” where it first appears in subsections (6) and (9) and substituting in each case the words “public company”; and
(d)
by deleting the word “companies” in subsection (7) and substituting the words “public companies”.
