Amendment of section 8
Section 8 of the Companies Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsections (5) (including the subsection heading), (6) and (6A); and
(b)
by deleting subsection (7) and substituting the following subsection:“(7) The Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, add to, vary or amend —
(a)
the Twelfth Schedule in relation to the contents of the directors’ statement which is required to accompany the financial statements under section 201(16); and
(b)
the Thirteenth Schedule in relation to the criteria for determining whether a company is a small company for the purposes of section 205C.”.
