Amendment of section 90

Section 90 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “Judge” in subsection (1)(a), the words “of the Supreme Court”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)such of the following as may be applicable:

(i)

an advocate and solicitor of not less than 12 years’ standing, in the case of a Disciplinary Tribunal appointed to hear and investigate any matter against an advocate and solicitor; or

(ii)

a regulated foreign lawyer of not less than 12 years’ standing, in the case of a Disciplinary Tribunal appointed to hear and investigate any matter against a regulated foreign lawyer.”; and

(c)

by deleting the word “solicitor” in subsection (4)(b)(i)(B) and substituting the words “regulated legal practitioner”.
