Clause 23

Licensee to keep records of pawnbroking business and transactions

(1)

A licensee must keep such records as may be prescribed in relation to —

(a)

its business of pawnbroking; and

(b)

its transactions.

(2)

The records under subsection (1) —

(a)

must be kept —

(i)

in English;

(ii)

in electronic form;

(iii)

from such time as may be prescribed;

(iv)

for such period as may be prescribed, or such longer period as the Registrar may require in writing; and

(v)

in accordance with such other requirements as may be prescribed; and

(b)

must be kept or be available for inspection at the licensed place of business where the goods are pawned.
