Clause 81

Jurisdiction of District and Magistrates’ Courts

Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68), a District Court or a Magistrate’s Court —

(a)

may try any offence under this Act; and

(b)

may impose the full punishment for the offence.
