Clause 35

Record-keeping and giving information on quality of service

(1)

A public bus operator holding a Class 1 bus service licence and every bus service subcontractor who provides bus services under an agreement with such a licensee, must —

(a)

keep and retain, for such period as may be prescribed, records, where the records are relevant to a matter that is relevant to monitoring or evaluating, under this Part, the quality of an aspect of bus services as prescribed in the regulations; and

(b)

give to the LTA, within the period and in the manner prescribed in the regulations, specified information that is relevant to a matter that is relevant to monitoring or evaluating, under this Part, the quality of an aspect of bus services as prescribed in the regulations.

(2)

A public bus operator holding a Class 1 bus service licence, and every bus service subcontractor who provides bus services under an agreement with such a licensee, must not, in purported compliance with a requirement under subsection (1), make a record of any matter or thing in such a way that it does not correctly record the matter or thing.

(3)

A person —

(a)

who is subject to any requirement under subsection (1) or (2); and

(b)

who contravenes any such requirement,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000.
