Amendment of section 117
Section 117(2) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “pay” in paragraph (b) and substituting the word “emoluments”; and
(b)
by inserting, immediately after paragraph (g), the following paragraphs:“(ga)the appointment, release, discharge of forensic specialists and civilian police assistants, and the terms and conditions of service of forensic specialists and civilian police assistants who are not public officers;
(gb)the administration, organisation and discipline of forensic specialists and civilian police assistants, including (in particular) requiring compliance with any provision of the Police General Orders or Force Orders;”.
